CODA custom snow skis deliver to you a unique ride that can hold an edge through the deepest of carving turns and the most challenging snow conditions. Of course, CODA skis include complete graphics customization printed in-house for the fastest turnaround. With CODA your ride will be truly one-of-a-kind.

Please be sure to visit our graphics section before configuring your skis. Customize both deck and base graphics--the top and bottom of your board. Whether you choose a finished graphic from the CODA Select gallery offerings, or choose to design your own graphic, you will need to indicate your choice during checkout. Graphic uploads occur after completion of your purchase, or at your convenience using our graphics upload page. Remember that, whatever your graphics choice, it will end up split down the middle with half on either ski. There is a template available on our templates page. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any details or concerns regarding your graphics setup.

All CODA skis are individually hand-crafted after you place your order. Some minor cosmetic blemishes do occasionally surface from this hands-on process. Also, take note of the option for a metal dampening layer.

     The original CODA snow skis from our Lake Tahoe designer.  Each ski is symmetrical with an aggressive sidecut for strong all-mountain skiing.  Constructed with horizontal laminate wood cores, 22 oz triax glass, aluminum alloy dampening in the tips and tails, and with the CODA hybrid cap/sidewall construction.
     These skis are all mountain sticks that can carve trenches on the groomers, float beautifully in powder, rip easily through bumps, and fly in the park.

     While the Il Lupo is an outstanding all mountain ski, we at CODA love to carve, and therefore set out to make a set of skis that can dig trenches like our monoboards.  We started with the V-0 and the V0-xl and literally cut them in half.  We then swapped left and right sides to place the original sidecut on the inside edge.  A slightly less extreme sidecut on the outside edge accomodated the uphill ski.  The resulting skis performed brilliantly.  They are most definitely asymmetrical so that the skis will track parallel through a tight carve.  We found that the narrower tail shape gave a great pintail type ride in powder and when carving we were not catching the tails of the uphill skis.  We could actually drag tailbones on the snow while carving turns similar to our signature monoboards.

For discerning riders, Coda's metal construction option incorporates an aluminium alloy layer to improve dampening and edge-hold. Metal construction with aluminium alloys such as AMAG's "Titanal"© aluminium alloy recently received increased attention during the 2008 Winter Olympics, but, actually, metal construction boards have been in production for more than 40 years. Our own beta testers liked the nuanced improvement of metal construction.

Sandwich with Cap/Sidewall hybrid.  Cores are shaped with a 45 degree chamfer and then 2mm thick strips of UHMW are attached along the sides.  This gives the sides of CODA skis and boards a unique shape that minimizes the wear and tear of side impacts while giving the strength of traditional sidewall sandwich construction.

two layers of 22oz triaxial fiberglass, one above and one below the wood core.  For boards with the deep V tail there is an extra layer of the the fiber glass from just in front of the inserts to the end of the tails between the wood core and the top layer of fiberglass.

perforated aluminum alloy that we place in between the wood core and the top layer of fiber glass.  By not replacing the fiberglass with metal, as many other manufacturers do, we are able to enhance the damping of the board while retaining the pop and responsiveness of all glass boards.

vertically laminated birch 3/8 inch think under foot.  All cores are cut and profiled on our CNC machine.

steel 6m inserts that are fitted from the bottom of the cores to to provide maximum protection from pulling out.
